January 21 this year marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Lenin (Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov). Along with Leon Trotsky and the Bolshevik party, Lenin (1870–1924) led the 1917 October socialist revolution that “shook the world” and changed the course of world history. For the first time ever, the working class succeeded in taking power and started the task of
