MAY DAY GREETINGS
PERESSA CELEBRATES WITH WORKERS
The Precision, Electrical and Related Equipment Senior Staff Association, (PERESSA) felicitates with our members as well as all workers here in Nigeria and across the world as we commemorate the year 2025 edition of the International Workers’ Day.
This year May Day is taking place in Nigeria at a period of monumental erosion of the living standards of workers and ordinary people by the IMF/World Bank inspired anti-people policies of the Bola Tinubu government. PERESSA is prepared to actively participate in the struggle to force the government to reverse the ruinous policies.
We also enjoin our members to remain supportive as the Union continues to uncompromisingly and consistently defend their interests and rights.
Long live PERESSA. Long Live TUC
Long Live Nigeria

As we commemorate this year International Workers’ Day in Nigeria and globally, I extend solidarity greetings to the staff of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and Nigerian workers in general.
I enjoin the Nigerian workers to join Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in the struggle to save public university education.
This becomes more imperative as the President Bola Tinubu government has intensified attacks on public education through the implementation of anti-poor policies of commercialization.
Dare to Struggle, Dare to Win!
Yours in Solidarity

Immediate Past Chairman

NANNM, LAGOS
On this year’s May Day Celebration, the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Lagos State Council, joins all workers in Nigeria and around the world in commemoration. We ask that workers remain mindful of the significance of this occasion. As many gains made in previous struggles are being rolled back government policies, it is a critical time to reflect on the material state of working people and our place in society.
To protect our rights and employment, workers must continue to dutifully organize. At a time like this, we must fight for our dignity as workers. It is a time to organize against mass sack, retrenchment and casualization of workers and struggle for a living wage. It’s time for action.
We wish all workers a Happy May Day.
