DSM June NC meeting

Over the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June 2022, comrades of the Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM) gathered in Lagos for a meeting of the National Committee (NC). This was immediately after the two-day burial activities of the organisation’s founding General Secretary, Comrade Segun Sango, which held on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th June 2022. Segun Sango died on 23rd May 2022 following a prolonged illness.

The energy at the meeting was inspiring just as the discussions.

Also at the meeting was Alhaji Kazeem Alabi Labaika who represented the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and made useful contributions on the current effort by the labour movement to reclaim the Labour Party (LP).

The second session opened with a discussion on the Socialist Party of Nigeria (SPN) and our political orientation in the 2023 general elections. This was led by comrade Chinedu Bosah and summed up by comrade Abbey Trotsky.
